I read an interesting article recently about Candida overgrowth. Candida is a yeast that lives in our digestive tracts and we do just fine with it there because it is kept in check by other bacteria that also live there. Sometimes it can get out of control when we take antibiotics, which kill the good bacteria that keep the candida in check, and/or eat too much sugar, which causes it to grow out of control. This is “candida overgrowth”. When out of balance, the candida will cause you to crave sugar and will sap your energy so that you always feel tired among other things.
The article suggested a test to determine if you have candida overgrowth. First thing in the morning before you brush your teeth or have anything to eat or drink, fill a clear glass with water. Gather the saliva in your mouth and drop it into the water. After about 20 minutes or so check to see if your saliva has started to stream down into the water in strands (kind of like jellyfish tentacles). If so, you may have an overgrowth. Kinda gross, I know.
To get rid of it, the article says you need to cut all sugars from your diet for a month or two to starve the candida out. That removes just about everything from your diet except for vegetables and protein. Then start taking a probiotic supplement to help rebuild the good bacteria in your body to get the candida under control again.
There you have it. Now for the disclaimer. I’m not a doctor and neither is the author of the article that this information came from (which is the first article in the May 2009 issue of The Magnetic Sponsoring Innercircle Magazine). Always check with your doctor before you radically change your diet.

It is amazing how many different problems people can have with sleeping. Some people have trouble getting to sleep, some are light sleepers, some wake up several times during the night, and some thrash while they sleep. Then there are the actual disorders like sleep apnea and restless leg syndrome. People don’t get enough sleep because they are busy and others sleep too long because they get quality while they are sleeping.
Sleep is one of the most vital “activities” that we do every day. Sleep is how the body recharges itself, repairs damage done during waking activities, processes our food, processes and removes fat, etc. Alot of the “problems” that people have could possibly be eliminated if they started getting a good night’s sleep. So how do you get past the barriers to good sleep?
I invested in a good magnetic mattress pad. From the moment that I put it on the bed I have not had any difficulty getting to sleep. Sometimes it even seems like I’m asleep before my head hits the pillow (which is also magnetic). The magnets help the body to relax so that you can get to sleep and get into the deep sleep that allows the body to do what it needs to do while you sleep. I have heard many testimonials from people how this magnetic pad helped them to get to sleep, calmed restless leg and thrashing, and along with the pillow in some cases reduced problems with snoring and apnea.
Naturally there are no guarantees that something like this will fix your sleep problem but it definitely won’t make anything worse. The only reason I know of to stay away from a magnetic pad is if you have a battery operated implant like a pacemaker.
Check out the magnetic sleep products that I’m using.

You know how important it is to keep your body healthy, but do you think much about keeping your mind healthy? With all of the bad news about the economy and everything else in the media it is vital to keep a positive outlook. One great way to do that is to receive insightful daily emails that affirm how powerful and amazing you are and that good things do happen.
I currently receive two every morning that I think are very powerful. The first is Notes from the Universe
from Mike Dooley and the other is Daily Insights from Bob Proctor. Check them out.
